  3. Religious Diversity Assignment (Up to 50 points extra credit)
Format: typed, double-spaced, 12-point font, Times New Roman or Arial, 1-in margins all around.

Look up a local religious community, church, temple, synagogue, etc. It must be a tradition that you are not currently or have been associated with or familiar with (if you currently attend a "non-denominational" church, it cannot be just another "non-denominational" church). Attend their scheduled worship ceremony. I am not asking you to participate in their worship, nor morally condone the worship being done. I am asking you to expose yourself to a diversity experience and reflect upon the experience.

    Must include the following elements:
    1. What is it? (Name of religion/denomination, location, website, date and time of your attendance). Take a picture of yourself somewhere inside the structure, respecting what they allow)
    2. What happened?
    3. How did you react at the moment?
    4. What did you think about it after the experience, having thought about it a bit more?
    5. Was this experience valuable for you? Did you learn anything? What?
    6. Give a few examples of ways in which parents, nonparental caregivers, teachers, can provide opportunities for diversity experiences for their young ones to enrich their developmental resources.
